5th Grade State Floats

Written by Frankie, 5th grade student
Recently, fifth grade students presented state float projects. It was a fun and creative process to learn more about the 50 states that comprise our great nation. We each chose a state to research and, over the course of three weeks, gathered important facts about our state and created a small float to reveal our findings about our chosen state.  We each gave a presentation to our class about our float. We improved in our public speaking skills and even had the opportunity to receive feedback from our friends. Now the floats are on display in the hall just outside the spiral staircase on the third floor, waiting for you to see them!
