Service Learning
Service learning is an integral component of The Christ School’s Middle School and helps define our culture and community. In each classroom, service is personal. Sometimes it is influenced by a student’s or teacher’s personal experience, or it may manifest through an alternative serving project. Service happens all year long.

As part of the curriculum, students are expected to complete a minimum of ten service hours each year. We encourage our students to take advantage of the many wonderful opportunities available to them to earn service hours.
One Great Day
One Great Day of Service is a day in which all TCS students, teachers, staff members and parent volunteers spend an entire day volunteering at a variety of locations in the Central Florida community. This is an important tradition at The Christ School since the event was first implemented in 2001,The Christ School believes that a day of service at all grade levels provides a unique opportunity to learn the Biblical value of serving others and teaches children to be community leaders. “One Great Day of Service is a special day for us,” says Laila, TCS student. “The students get to go out into the community and be a light for Jesus. This is one of my favorite days!”
Each grade assists with age-specific activities at various community service facilities including city parks and non-profit community organizations with the goal of making a difference to those in our local community. In addition to providing much needed volunteer services, The Christ School’s students enhance their own educational experience by learning more about the community in which they live.
