This month, 5th grade students are working on an extended unit on the Civil War. The Civil War unit provides an opportunity for students to delve deeper into the subject matter through differentiated instruction. The social studies classes have looked closely at the reasons for disagreement between the North and the South, famous people of the era, battles and heroes through reports, PowerPoint documents, and displays. Mr. Bosscher even taught class while dressed as a soldier! On Thursday, students will spend the whole day learning about the Battle of Gettysburg.
