Amanda Gordon, Curriculum Specialist
Amanda Gordon joins our Academic Team as the Curriculum Specialist. Amanda is a highly qualified and experienced educator who has served in various roles spanning over the past 16 years. Amanda has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Central College in Pella, Iowa. She has extensive teaching experience in both elementary and middle school. In her role as Curriculum Specialist, Amanda will serve as part of the Academic Office team and provide coaching, mentoring and support for teachers in curriculum development and instruction. Amanda comes to us from Howard Middle School, where she served as a reading teacher/coach, curriculum resource teacher, instructional coach, and math coach. Prior to that, she worked in similar roles in Orange County Public Schools and at the elementary and preschools levels in Indiana. She was nominated for Howard Middle School Teacher of the Year, 2013-2015, and Bridgewater Middle School Teacher of the Year, 2008. Amanda has two sons, one who is a rising 1st grader at TCS and one who is a rising Pre K student at The Magnolia Preschool. Amanda says, “After serving in public education for the past 16 years, I am thrilled to be joining The Christ School team. I look forward to working in such a positive, motivating environment with a solid foundation of Christian beliefs. I am also excited to watch my children grow and be nurtured in an academically-focused, Christ-centered educational setting.”
