Fins on Fabric

Mrs. Kuplen’s sixth grade science class has been studying the three different types of fish and how the five different types of fins help them move.  To reinforce their studies, Mrs. Kuplen taught them how to make fish prints with tilapia and red snapper.  When they created these detailed prints of their fish, the students were able to see, feel, and understand the differences in the design of the fins.  In the meantime, they learned a little about teamwork, patience, and finding beauty in all God’s creatures.
