Get to Know Kathy Whitman

We are delighted for you to get to know the teachers who have joined The Christ School team this year. We begin with Kathy Whitman, our 4th grade Bridge teacher. Kathy is a familiar face to many here at TCS, as she taught our lions for 12 years and rejoins us after a brief hiatus. Kathy says, “I’m a local girl, growing up and continuing to live in the downtown Orlando area. My family, all 25 of us, live within 5 miles of each other, so we are very close. I LOVE to travel and am ready to go anywhere. I also love to sing and have been fortunate enough to have performed with a group at Carnegie Hall a couple of years ago.”

This is my 22nd year teaching, says Kathy. “After a three-year sabbatical, I have returned to TCS to be a part of The Bridge program. It is a new and exciting time for the school and for me!

“My favorite thing about teaching 4th grade is the students! They are eager to learn,” Kathy continues. “I look forward to seeing the students light up with excitement to learn new things, have confidence in themselves, and celebrate the amazing talents each one has.”
