The Christ School is offering a girls’ basketball clinic for 3rd, 4th & 5th grade TCS students. This is a great opportunity to play basketball, work on skills, fundamentals and learn from a professional. Joslyn Massey, former Division 1 basketball player and current trainer and coach, will be leading this 7-week clinic that will take place on Tuesdays (January 15 – February 26) in our gym from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. The Christ School is offering a boys’ basketball team for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students in the Legacy Youth Winter Basketball League. Practice will be on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in the gym, starting January 30. Games will be played on Saturday mornings at South Creek Middle School in February and March. The season will end on March 16. Register here. The cost to join the league is $125, payable to Legacy Youth. A $35 TCS fee will be added in FACTS if this is your child’s first time participating in athletics this school year. A TCS waiver needs to be completed before January 28.
We also offer a 5 week basketball clinic for all TK, K, 1st and 2nd grade students. This clinic will take place from 3:15 to 4:00 pm on Thursdays (January 31 – February 28) in the gym. Coach Oz and Coach Wiborg will be leading the clinic and teaching basic fundamentals as well as playing modified games. The students will be called to walk up at 3:10 pm and will be escorted to gym the by one of the coaches. You can pick your child up in the gym at 4:00 pm or they can be walked over to REACH by one of our coaches. There is a $75 fee that will be charged to your FACTS account. Space is limited. Middle school
Our 6th grade boys’ basketball team will play Thursday, January 10, at 4:30 pm on our home court vs. Windermere Prep.
Our 8th grade boys’ basketball team will play two games at The First Academy on Saturday, January 12, at 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm. The will also play at 5:00 pm on Monday, January 14, at Forest Academy (Forest Lake Education Center 1275 Learning Loop Longwood FL 32779).
Our Middle school girls’ soccer team will play on Thursday, January 10, at 4:00 pm at Lake Highland.
Our 6th grade flag football team will play two games, 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm, on Friday, January 11 at Hungerford Field 100 East Kennedy Blvd, 32751.
Our 7th grade flag football team will play on Friday, January 11, at 8:00 pm at Hungerford Field, 100 East Kennedy Blvd, 32751.
Our 8th grade flag football team will play on Friday, January 11, at 8:00 pm at Hungerford Field, 100 East Kennedy Blvd, 32751.
Middle school track and field will begin practice on Monday, February 4, from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in the gym. Coach Paul Katuaskas will lead the team this year and he encourages anyone who is interested to join the team; no prior experience is required. All athletes must have the following paperwork complete before the first practice: FHSAA physical form, FHSAA consent form and TCS waiver. A $120 fee will be charged to your FACTS account.
