Lions’ Sports Update October 3

Congratulations to our middle school girls’ volleyball Green Team who completed their season on Tuesday night at the Greater Orlando Athletic Conference tournament.  Coach Mark Marshall led the team to a number three ranking out of nine teams.  Way to go Lions!

Middle School
Volleyball Gold Team will play in the semi finals of the Greater Orlando Athletic Conference tournament on Thursday, October 4. The match begins at 4:30 pm at Trinity Prep.  (5700 Trinity Prep Ln, Winter Park, FL 32792).  If they win, they will play in the championship match immediately following their match on Thursday.

Middle school boys’ basketball tryouts will take place in the gym this Friday, October 5, from 3:45 to 5:00 pm.  Students must be registered to participate. The following paperwork must be completed and turned in to the school office before attending tryouts:   FHSAA physical form, FHSAA consent form and TCS waiver.

ACYS Flag Football is accepting registrations for 3rd – 8th grades. Please register online by creating a login at www.acys.org.  A TCS waiver must be completed to participate.

Lower School
4th and 5th grade volleyball practice will be held on Thursday, October 4, from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in the gym.  The 4th grade team has two matches at 10:00 am &11:00 am and the 5th grade team has two matches at 9:00 am & 10:00 am on Saturday, October 6, at Faith Christian Academy (2008 North Goldenrod, Orlando, FL, 32807).

ACYS 3rd grade soccer practice will be held on Thursday, October 4, 5:45 pm at Blue Jacket Park (2501 General Rees Ave, Orlando, FL, 32802).  They have a game at 11:30 am on Saturday, October 6, at Martin Luther King Park (1050 West Moore Blvd Winter Park, Florida 32789).

1st and 2nd grade Soccer Shots practice will be held on Thursday, October 4, from 3:30 to 4:05 pm on the green space.

TK & K Soccer Shots practice will be held on Tuesday, October 9, from 3:30 to 4:05 pm on the green space.

K-2nd grade flag football clinic will have their next session on Wednesday, October 10, from 3:30 to 4:15 pm on the green space.
