Mary Crimmins Earns Professional Honor

The Christ School congratulates Mary Crimmins, TCS middle school social studies teacher, on being selected as a presenter at the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS) convention in November.  Out of 163 applicants, only 50 were chosen to be presenters. “I am thrilled to have been selected,” says Mary. Her presentation is entitled “The (Digital) Natives are Restless.” She will address the myths and realities of individuals born between 1995 – 2007, known as Generation Z.  This is the first generation to live their entire lives in the digital world.  Mary says, “I’ll be drawing from research, experience and interviews. Many of the 7th and 8th grade students at TCS have already provided me with valuable insights. I also hope to develop resources that will be helpful not only to me, but to other professional educators.” We applaud Mrs. Crimmins on this significant professional honor.
