Photo of the Week: Creative Learning with iPads

Olivia, in Mrs. Fatizzi's first grade class, shares her iPad creation. This year, TCS students are learning with touchpad devices in the classroom and in the technology center.

Twenty iPads on a syncing cart are travelling throughout The Christ School classrooms. Our kindergarten and first grade students were introduced to the iPads last week beginning with Doodle Buddy, a simple drawing application. They found the drawing tools quickly and learned how to make individual creations.

First grade students worked with Letter School, an application that reinforces correct letter and comprehension skills. Soon, TCS second grade students will utilize the iPads to reinforce math facts and strengthen reading comprehension skills.

Students working in the technology center took their first STAR reading test of the year. They will be soon be learning and practicing keyboarding skills and creating presentations using PowerPoint and other software.
