Seussical, the Musical! Casting Call

Casting Call for TCS Students to join Seussical, the Musical!
Seussical debuted on Broadway in 2000 and is now one of the most performed shows in America! Grades 4-8 are invited to join this fantastical musical extravaganza, abridged for young performers and full of fun, colorful characters. Tony winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. 

The Christ School is excited to partner with Truthbase Theatricals to bring this opportunity to The Christ School community! The performance is scheduled for April 19, 2023.

Grades 4-8: All participating students will be cast as a role (or multiple roles) in the show. Rehearsals will take place on Wednesdays from 3:00 to 5:30 pm starting January 18 for 13 weeks. Students who wish to audition for a lead or featured role are invited to audition separately on Monday, January 23, from 3:00 to 5:30 pm. Students cast in lead roles will also need to be available on the first Monday of each month (February, March, April) from 3:00 to 5:30 pm for additional rehearsals. Preview the full rehearsal schedule, audition materials, and register to participate here!

Grades TK-3: Stay tuned for more information about Seuss-themed Academy classes this spring! Seuss Academy classes will be one hour in length on Wednesdays. Grades 2-3 will perform as The Who’s (tiny citizens of Whoville) in Seussical and TK-1 will perform their Showcase as pre-show entertainment.
