STEAM Skills Help our Community
Middle school STEAM students have been investigating homelessness. After discussing situations that may cause homelessness and services available to help, the students were tasked to create a vision for a tiny home community for people in need. They designed the look and scope of their community, created a presentation board and a plan for a tiny home. The students are now working on the construction of a scaled model of their tiny home. In addition to giving the students a deeper appreciation for their many blessings, this project helped them understand many facets of community planning and how they can use their knowledge and skills to help others.
