Student Support Spotlight, by Alissa Plaisance
Super D Ville is a social emotional curriculum we utilize in the Bridge classrooms. I was very excited to hear that the creators of Super D are extending their resources with a learning opportunity called Super D! Friends: A Fun Safe Space for Kids with Learning Differences (ages 7-12). Weekly online meetings will be held, facilitated by Emma and Maria, older mentors with Learning Differences. Emma has dyslexia and dyscalculia. She studied biology at Columbia University and is going to UCLA medical school next year. Maria has dyslexia, dysgraphia, and ADHD. She is a junior at Missouri Baptist College. She is on the tennis team and is studying psychology. This is a neat way for children with ADHD and Dyslexia to connect with others while learning from role models they can relate to. You can sign up for a free session here.
