Taking Learning Out of this World
The 6th grade students visited Kennedy Space Center (KSC) as a precursor to their Science studies on the solar system and the universe. While there, the students visited the incredible Atlantis exhibit, experienced a simulated Saturn V rocket launch, relived the final moments of the Apollo 11 moon landing, saw the launch pads up close and learned about the future of space flight and exploration. It was an incredible day filled with eye-opening historical events that have shaped who we are as a country. In the weeks to come, students will be applying their KSC experiences to learning more about space exploration and understanding what our great universe has to hold.
