TCS Welcomes Courtney Morgan

Courtney Morgan, TCS 2nd grade Bridge teacher, discovered her love for teaching through a compelling opportunity during her corporate career. “Many years ago, I was working as an event planner at Disney,” says Courtney. “At the time, Disney had a program where cast members could teach English to fellow cast members who were non-native speakers of English. I feel fortunate to have been able to take part in that program because it led me to leave the corporate environment to pursue a career in teaching.”

“I am happy to have this opportunity to help dyslexic students at TCS discover their strengths,” Courtney continues. “I think people with dyslexia are truly gifted and they have the amazing ability to think outside the box. Many historic and influential people, like Albert Einstein, were dyslexic. They used their creativity to make what seemed impossible, possible. I also love to read and I am excited to share that love of reading with my students. I am thankful to have such wonderful students and to work with an amazing team in a Christ-centered environment.”

Courtney and her husband, Chris, have a daughter, Ava, who is in 4th grade. “I have been fortunate enough to live in Argentina and France,” says Courtney. “As a part of those experiences, I have been able to learn new languages. I speak Spanish, Portuguese, and French at varying levels of proficiency.”

Courtney shares her favorite Bible verse:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11
