Welcome Dr. F!
The Christ School is delighted to welcome a special member of our TCS family to our teaching team. Dr. Terry Farrant, mother of our Head of School, Dr. Aaron Farrant, joins us as our 4th grade math teacher. “Aaron asked me to be in prayer for a TCS class that needed a teacher,” says Terry. “I had been praying about it and God spoke to my heart that He could use me so I submitted to that call and came to TCS.”
“I had wanted to be a teacher since I was a small child. I would play with the neighborhood children and I was ALWAYS the teacher,” continues Terry, now affectionately known as “Dr. F” at TCS. “This will be my 36th year teaching. For four of those years I was the head of the school and still taught a class because I love teaching. I have taught just about every grade. The best thing about being a teacher is having the opportunity to impact my students academically and spiritually. I hope that some of my students at TCS who don’t really like math will fall in love with math.”
To follow God’s call to serve at TCS, Terry moved from Hebron, Ohio, for the school year. “I am happy to be at The Christ School,” she says. “The staff have been so loving, kind and helpful. The parents have also been very supportive.”
Terry has two children and four grandchildren (two TCS Lions, Eli and Austin). “I have been to all 50 states and many countries,” she says. “I enjoy being on the water, reading and watching a good movie with my husband.”
When asked to share her favorite Bible verse, Terry says, “I really have so many favorites, picking just one is a challenge!”
