Get to Know – Katie Sampson
Welcome to Katie Sampson, first grade teacher. Katie, who was born and raised in Miami, married her husband Kristoffer this past June. She enjoys spending time outdoors, practicing Pilates, and making memories with my friends & family.
Katie has been a teacher for six years, primarily with first grade. “My mother was my inspiration for becoming a teacher. From her, I learned of my gift of encouraging others, patience and how impactful it can be,” she says.
“There are so many reasons I love teaching first grade,” Katie continues. “First grade students are hilarious! Some of the funniest moments in my life have happened within classroom walls.”
“As a first grade teacher, there are ample opportunities to create and try new things,” says Katie. “I have always loved to create, and I am constantly presented with opportunities to learn and grow as a teacher. I look forward to creating a teamwork culture within our classroom; working with individual strengths, communicating openly with one another, fostering creativity through camaraderie, and celebrating team successes. We are all unique beings; there is so much beauty in that!”
Katie is happy to be working at The Christ School. “My favorite thing about TCS so far has been our leadership team and staff. I feel empowered, encouraged, and challenged. It sure feels good to be a LION!”
Katie shares her favorite Bible verse:
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching. – Hebrews 10:24-25
