Welcome Mark Davis
The Christ School is happy to welcome Mark Davis, who joined TCS this year as our 7th and 8th grade Biblical Worldview and Digital Media teacher. Although he recently joined our team, Mark has been a part of The Christ School family for some time. “I have been familiar with The Christ School for the past few years through my wife, Jessi, who taught Spanish and World Languages at TCS,” says Mark. “Throughout those years, I heard great things about the people at The Christ School, so I consider it a privilege to be working with them today.”
Mark grew up in Ponte Vedra and attended Nease High School (“Home of the one and only, Tim Tebow!” he says). He attended college in Kentucky where he met Jessi, and recently finished his studies at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando last May. Mark and Jessi have a son, Oakley, who is ten months old. “My wife and I are always finding new adventures,” says Mark. “We love to camp, travel, and try new foods.”
“My favorite thing about teaching at TCS is the warm, joyful environment,” he says. “I probably see hundreds of smiles every day, and I truly believe we are a blessed bunch.”
He continues, “In my Biblical Worldview classes, I love to see students make personal connections with what they are learning. It’s humbling to know how much these classes will shape them, and it gives me a great sense of responsibility and purpose to serve them as their teacher. In my Digital Media class, we have a blast creating and shooting TCS News. The first one will be finished soon. You’re in for a treat!”
Mark shares his favorite Bible verse:
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.” – Ephesians 2:4-5
