Welcome to Our TCS Family!

Russ Winderweedle, our new Technology Specialist, is a true Floridian.  “I was born and raised in Winter Park,” he says. “I am currently enjoying the single life with my Black Lab, Molly. I have always been close to my family. Both of my parents, my older brother, and niece live here in Orlando. I enjoy fishing with my dad and brother. In the evening after school you will either find me watching football on TV or playing video games.”

Russ attended Flagler College in St. Augustine and graduated with two degrees; one in Philosophy/Religion and the other in Social Science. He is a 1994 graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary and earned a Masters degree in Theological Studies. He holds to two professional certificates from Valencia College in Computer Network Technology and in Database Management.

Before joining TCS, Russ taught 5th grade at Saint Barnabas Episcopal School in Deland, and taught 9th – 12th grade World and American History and Economics at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach. “For the last year and a half, I was working for Houhton Mifflin Harcourt Publishers as a tech support agent for their online education websites. I started to feel that God was calling me to make a change in my employment. I started looking for a technology or teaching opportunity at a local Christian school and was excited to find the opportunity at TCS through FCIS,” says Russ.

“As The Christ School’s Technology Specialist, I am responsible for making sure that all things technology work and run as they should. I help the staff, teacher and students with any technology needs and assist with the audio and visual aspect of the chapel each morning,” he says. “My favorite thing about TCS is that we are all like one big family here. Every time that I walk into school, I see joy on the faces of the students and the staff.”

Russ shares his favorite Bible verses:

“For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”- Jeremiah 29:11

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”- Romans12:2
