“High Five” Sentences

Students in fourth grade are off a wonderful start studying the components of a “High Five” sentence. They have discussed how each sentence must contain a subject and predicate, must make sense, start with a capital letter and conclude with some kind of punctuation. This week students have been working to identify subjects and predicates in sentences they read and write. “I love the sorting and games we are doing in class. It makes our learning more fun!” says Peighton, a 4th grade student in Ms. Combs’ Language Arts class.
