Kudos to Kelly

Why is Kelly George carrying so many backpacks? Is it to carry all of her middle school materials? No. Is it because she is a pack rat?  Not at all! After a discussion in 7th grade Citizenship class about how each person should do their part to contribute to their community, Kelly was inspired. She asked her classmates to donate gently used backpacks for children who she tutors at a local ministry. Kelly saw a need, and along with her classmates, was able to fill it. Kelly has demonstrated two important attributes of our Portrait of a Graduate: being devoted to glorifying God and committed to being others-oriented.  Congratulations Kelly for being both a volunteer and an activist.
