Meet Audrey Marshall
The Christ School is delighted to welcome Audrey Marshall, who serves as Kindergarten Assistant. “I had been praying for God to help place me in a loving, Christian environment like The Christ School when Theresa Opsahl, who works in The Christ School office, reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in the position,” says Audrey. “I have known her for a long time because I went to high school with her son, Luke, who is married to my best friend, Shannon (both TCS class of 2004). I was so happy when she called – it was the answer to my prayers!”
Audrey was born and raised in Orlando. “My parents and grandparents are also Orlando natives,” she says. “My great aunt and uncle started a citrus business in the late 1930’s in Christmas, FL. They were in this business for almost 80 years. One of my favorite memories as a child was going to visit them with my siblings and cousins because we would run through the orange groves and play tag.”
Audrey joyfully speaks about her new role at TCS, “The Christ School environment is contagious! From the moment I step on campus, I feel love and kindness from each staff member, teacher, and student. Everyone here welcomes you with a friendly smile and always offers a lending hand when needed.”
“The best part of my job is seeing the children each day,” she continues. “Every morning I am greeted with precious smiles, warm hugs, and the occasional ‘Guess what, Mrs. Marshall?’ that leads into an exciting story! I can’t think of a better way to start my day! Watching the children interact with each other brings me joy. It makes me happy when I see our students spreading love to one another throughout the day.”
Audrey shares her favorite Bible verse:
For with God nothing shall be impossible. – Luke 1:37 KJV
