Meet Lydia Roper, 4th Grade Teacher

The Christ School is pleased to introduce Lydia Roper, who joins TCS this year as a 4th grade teacher.  Lydia grew up in Tallahassee and earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Anthropology from FSU. She then earned her Master’s degree in Education from UCF.  Lydia taught in Orange County Public Schools for six years. When not teaching, Lydia loves to exercise, read, and watch British TV (especially mysteries).

Lydia and her husband, Chris, have two boys. Charlie is five and is in kindergarten at TCS. Tommy is three and goes to the Weekday School. Lydia says, “I came to TCS after learning about the school while my oldest boy was attending the Weekday School. I love being able to pray and worship the Lord while I’m at work. Sharing God with my students is awesome!”

She continues, “I am excited to be teaching 4th grade because I LOVE Florida history!  Fourth grade is jam packed with awesome concepts and knowledge. I am most excited to watch my 4th grade students blossom as they learn new and inspiring topics!”
