Questions From Open House

“How is The Christ School’s teaching method different than common core?”
The Christ School uses Fides as our structure to ensure delivery of academic excellence.  Within Fides, we have our Essential Knowledge. The Christ School’s Essential Knowledge sets forth our standards of what we expect our students to know and be able to do. The standards incorporate many of the same standards that are part of the Common Core. These standards existed before The Christ School and Common Core were ever conceptualized and just make common sense for teaching and learning.  As The Christ School continuously refines our Essential Knowledge, we exceed the basics of Common Core as we endeavor to provide an academically rigorous course of instruction for our students.
