The Christ School is governed by a Board of Trustees and the Head of School. The Board of Trustees is a volunteer group that includes current and past parents and grandparents and others close to the school mission. The Board keeps their eyes on the big picture and offers the expertise and vision necessary to keep the school’s mission alive and healthy for generations of TCS students and families to come.
Board members serve three year terms and meet bi-monthly. Standing committees meet frequently throughout the year and include governance, Head support and development, development, strategic planning, and finance.
The Head of School serves as the school’s Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for implementing Board policy, hiring faculty and professional staff, and the daily operational management of the school.
Mr. Charles Cook, Chairman: Vice President, BB&T – J. Rolfe Davis Insurance; Graduate of Florida State University, Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling; worked on the successful campaigns for the state insurance commissioner and for the first Cuban-American elected for congress; married to Amy, father of two sons, one TCS student and one TCS graduate; serves as the cross country and track coach for The Christ School; member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando.
Mr. Richard McCree, Jr., Vice Chairman: CEO, McCree General Contractors & Architects; Valencia Foundation Board Member; MBA from Rollins College, Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech; married to Tanis, father of three TCS students; member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando.
Dr. Sandra Whittaker Huxley, Secretary: Retired; Doctorate in Educational Leadership, University of Central Florida; Master’s Degrees in Administration and Counseling, Rollins College; Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, University of Florida; experience as a school district administrator, Principal, counselor, classroom teacher, and university adjunct; married to Don, grandmother of two TCS students.
Mr. Jeff Dilley, CPA, Treasurer: Self Employed; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Cedarville College; married to Stacey, father of one TCS student and one TCS graduate; member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando.
Dr. Jason Powell, Head of School: Doctorate in Educational Administration, University of Central Florida; Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education, Florida State University; experience as a school district administrator, Principal, and classroom teacher; married to Amy, father of three TCS students; member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando.
Mrs. Jennifer Bostedo: Vice President and Trust Officer for Commerce National Bank & Trust; Certified Trust & Financial Advisor; Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance, University of Central Florida; Board Member Winter Park Day Nursery; PTF volunteer; married to Mike; mother of two TCS students.
Mrs. Susan Chisari: TCS Interim Lower School Director; Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, University of Central Florida; Bachelor’s Degree from Winthrop College; retired Principal; member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando.
Ms. Amanda Day: President and Founder of Day Communications; Graduate of Colorado State University, MBA in Global Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Amanda dedicates time to helping orphan children at the Home of Love and Hope in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and is a world traveler.
Mr. David DeLoach: CEO of Freshfields Farm; Board Director of Vaxcare; past chair of Pinecastle Christian Academy; married to Jackie, father of seven children and grandparent of one TCS student.
Mr. Peter Partlow: Principal, E Sciences, Inc.; member of the Rotary Club and volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America; Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering and Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, University of Central Florida; married to Terri, father of two TCS students and one TCS alumni.
Mrs. Beth Pittenger: Adjunct Professor at Rollins College; Master’s Degree in Corporate Communication and Technology, Bachelor’s Degree in English Communication, Rollins College; married to Todd, mother of three boys, two current TCS students and one TCS graduate.
Mr. Clay Worden: Partner with McGladrey; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Flagler College; married to Debbie, father of two TCS students.
The Christ School, Inc. is an independent, 501 (c) (3) organization, a tax-exempt, not for profit educational institution. All donations to the school are permitted as a tax deduction on your federal income tax.
